The extraordinary gold medal won by Giulia Rizzi at the Vancouver World Cup lights up this morning in Dubai.
Her performance was virtually flawless: in both the semifinal and the final, Giulia imposed her style and quality against top–level opponents, ranked number 1, 2, and 4 in the world.
But this gold has an even deeper meaning, as it confirms the effectiveness of the meticulous teamwork carried out behind the scenes, a collective effort that enabled Giulia to perform at her best despite the recent injury that had kept her away from the piste in the weeks leading up to the competition.
Athletic preparation, physiotherapy, mental training, apnea water work, and technical refinement: a combination of expertise that allowed Giulia to bring a perfect alchemy to Vancouver.
Next week, Giulia will be in Dubai to continue her mental preparation and apnea training, working alongside the athletes of the UAE Federation and the MK Fencing Academy.
